Both the entrance exams are likely to be held sometime before May 20, sources said. The exact dates will be announced soon.

The postponement decision was announced late on Thursday by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who said the entrances will now be conducted in government run educational institutions under the supervision of government teachers.

The CM said private educational institutions cannot hold the state and the future of students to ransom saying they will not let their premises for conduct of these exams. Their objection, the chief minister said, to inspections by the state government was not valid. Several private educational institutions were taking students and parents for a ride and the government would not remain a mute spectator to such actions, he added.

He said no private institute could blackmail the government and the inspections would continue under the aegis of the vigilance department. Several other institutions such as BITS and IIIT will also be part of such inspections if necessary .

It was only after witnessing the pathetic condition of students in some private educational institutions that the government decided on the inspections. Deputy chief minister and education minister Kadiyam Srihari has been instructed to take strict action against all erring institutions, the CM said.

OUCET 2016 General Instructions to Candidates-oupgcet

1. Before filling and submission of online application form, the candidates are advised to go through the relevant instructions and model Online Application form available in websites, www.ouadmissions.com or www.osmania.ac.in.
2. Candidates should note that the Hall Tickets, Results of Entrance Tests, Rank Cards, Schedules for exercising web based options and certificate verification and other related information will be made available only through websites given above and the candidates can download the same. No personal intimation in this regard will be sent to the candidates either by post or by mail.
3. The candidates will have to appear for the entrance test and for certificate verification on their own expenses.
4. Syllabus for OUCET - 2016: The syllabus for OU Common Entrance Tests - 2016 will be made available in the websites, www.ouadmissions.com or www.osmania.ac.in.
5. The entrance tests in all the subjects, except that of M.P.Ed., will consist of 100 multiple choice objective type questions for 100 marks. For M.P.Ed. Course, the entrance test will be of 75 multiple choice objective type questions for 75 marks. The remaining 25 marks will be awarded by the Department of Physical Education, Osmania University for the Sports achievements of the candidates. A table showing the incentive marks for sports achievements at different levels and sports certificate attestation form to be filled and signed by the Concerned National Sports Federation / State Sports Federation / University Sports is given in Annexure-V.
6. Pattern of Entrance Test for Admission to M.Sc. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Genetics, Microbiology and Nutrition & Dietetics is as follows. Candidates have to appear for a common entrance test, namely BCBTESFSGMN&D comprising of Part-A (Chemistry for 40 Marks) and Part-B (One of the optionals studied at B.Sc. level) for 60 Marks. The optionals are Physics, Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology).
7. Indulgence in any kind of malpractice (photo morphing, impersonation, copying, etc.) in entrance test will attract punishment under the criminal laws.
8. Admissions are conducted through a process of web based counselling. Before allotment of admissions, the qualified candidates have to exercise options through web in the order of their preference.
9. The eligibility of the candidates is not verified / decided at the time of application and during the entrance test. The verification will be done only during the admissions. Hence, candidates are advised to ensure that they are eligible for the course/subject they are applying for.
10. NATIONAL INTEGRATION QUOTA (NIQ): 5% Supernumerary seats in each course in campus and constituent colleges of universities are available to the candidates belonging to the states other than Telangana and Andhra Pradesh under National Integration Quota.

3. The Candidate has to opt the Test Centre by assigning tick (√) against Warangal OR Karimnagar. If the number of candidates registered for the test in Karimnagar for a particular subject is less than 100, the University reserves right to change the centre and conduct the test at Warangal only. However, the test centre for “5 Years Integrated M.Sc.” shall be in Warangal.
4. No separate application is required for applying for courses under Kakatiya University and Satavahana Universities.
5. Time, Date of the Test, Name of the Examination Centre will be mentioned on the Hall Ticket downloaded by the Student.
6. There are no qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for SC/ST candidates seeking admission to the course concerned. However, qualifying marks are 30 for OC,BC and PH candidates.
7.  Hostel Facility will not be provided to the students of Self-Finance Courses.
8. Required fee (Bank draft / Challan), T.C. and other certificates must be submitted on the Spot on the day of admission counseling.
9. The University reserves the right not to conduct Entrance Test in those courses where the numbers of applications received are inadequate.
10. Number of Colleges and seats may vary due to wind up or addition of new colleges / new courses.  12. 5% supernumerary seats in each course are available to students from outside State of Telangana.
11. 15% Supernumerary seats are also available to foreign students in each course without Entrance Test.
12. The entrance tests in all the subjects, except that of M.P.Ed., will consist of 100 multiple choice objective questions for 100 marks. For M.P.Ed. Course, the entrance test will be of 75 multiple choice objective questions 75 marks. The remaining 25 marks will be awarded by the Department of Physical Education, Kakatiya University for the sports achievements of the candidates. A table showing the incentive marks for sports achievement at different levels and sports certificate attestation form to be filled and signed by the Concerned National sports Federation / State sports federation / University sports is given in annexure-VI
13. Candidates have to mark the answer on OMR Answer sheet by darking the relevant circle with HB Pencil. A model sheet is available www.kudoa.in / www.kakatiya.ac.in.
14. M.Com. Entrance Test shall be common for all specializations i.e., M.Com. General, M.Com. (FA), M.Com. (B & I), M.Com. (CA). M.Sc. (Mathematics) Entrance Test shall be common for M.Sc. (Mathematics), M.Sc.(Statistics), and M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics).
15. There will be no Entrance Test for the courses of M.A (Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu), M.Sc. (Food Science & Technology) and M.Sc., (MIT) but the candidates seeking admission into these courses have to submit the application in response to this notification. The admissions shall be made based on merit in the qualifying examination.
16. Candidates who have passed or appeared for final year Intermediate Examination (MPC/BPC) of 2016 are eligible to apply for 5 Year Integrated M.Sc. Courses.
17. Schedule of First Phase Admission Counseling will be intimated in the Marks/Rank Card. No Call Letters will separately be sent to the candidates.
18. Admission counseling (first phase, second phase and spot) Schedule will be placed on the university website www.kudoa.in / www.kakatiya.ac.in. Hence, candidates are advised to regularly log on to the University website for information.
