About Telangana NMMS Scholarship

1. The Ministry for Human Resource Development, Government of India has launched centrally sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (N.M.M.S.S). Under this scheme an examination will be conducted and selected candidates will get the scholarship.
2. Every year 1, 00,000 students will be selected throughout India. Out of which 4087 scholarships are being allotted to Residuary Andhra Pradesh and have been distributed among the districts basing on enrollment in VII and VIII Classes for each academic year.
3. The Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad is conducting NMMS examination from August 2008.
4. This examination is conducted every year in the month of November for the students in class VIII studying in Government/ Local Body/Municipal/Aided Schools are eligible for this examination.
5. The candidates who got minimum 55% of marks for OC/BC candidates and 50% for SC/ST in VII Standard.
6. The beneficiaries are being selected basing on the merit and as per the reservation norms followed by the state.
7. State Norms including 3% reservation for P.H candidates. (S.C 15%; S.T 6%; B.C-A 7%; B.C-B 10%; B.C-C 1%; B.C-D 7%) regarding BC-E implementation in NMMS Examination will be considered after receipt of clarification from the government.

(a) Candidates should have passed/appearing for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science) /B.Com./ B.E/B.Tech/B.C.A./B.B.M. at the time of submitting the Application for T S Ed.CET-2016. Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission. 

(b) Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e. B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Masters Degree in relevant subject or 5years integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other qualification equivalent thereto. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55 % marks in B.E/B.Tech with Science/Mathematics as one of the subject or any other qualification equivalent there to, are eligible for admission to the programme. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories i.e. S.C., S.T., B.C. (A/B/C/D/E), and Physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

TS Edcet 2016 Important Points

1. Choosing of Part-C subjects (i.e. methodology) for entrance test is at candidate’s risk. Subject eligibility will be subject to verification later at the time of admission counselling.
2. Candidates need not upload xerox copies of any certificates along with the application. However, they are required to submit original certificates/xerox copies whenever asked.
3. The information furnished in the application will be verified with originals at the time of entry into the course. Furnishing false information leads to prosecution and cancellation of admission at any point of time.
4. The mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not entitle the candidate the right to claim an entry into B.Ed. Course.
5. Candidate must submit the application online only.
6. As per the GOMS No: 92, the candidates who passed M.B.B.S/B.D.S/B.A.M.S./B.L/L.L.B/B.A.(Languages)/B.O.L etc. and other such professional courses are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.
7. Candidates will not be allowed into the Examination Hall after 11.00 A.M on the day of the Examination.
8. After filling all the boxes in the online application, the candidate must click on the submit button. Otherwise Registration number will not be generated and hence application will not be considered.

LPCET shall be conducted in all the 13 Districts of the State. Candidate can choose any Examination Centre (District) of his choice.
